Sisonke, or “coming together”, is a Social Responsibility initiative started by bstrat to partner with South African small businesses by giving them pro bono packaging design.
The Sisonke purpose is to help 100% black owned businesses by sharing our regional knowledge, along with our world class skills, to create an iconic brand, through packaging design, that will help them thrive.
By annually, one small business will be chosen in this shoulder to shoulder initiative where we guide themthrough the branded packaging design process.
The end goal is to create disruptive, hard working and relevant packaging, at a world class standard.
This initiative was launched on Mandela day, 2018. His legacy challenges all South Africans to play their part in growing our country’s people. It is our social responsibility to share our knowledge where it can make a real difference.
Packaging design is often something SMME’s pass up due to lack of resources. We have those resources that could be indispensable for a new business.
Through this CSR initiative, we challenge the industry to share their knowledge and resources in any way to aid the Sisonke March 2019 winner, be it through pro-bono marketing strategy, distribution strategies or printing of labels.
Our Sisonke initiative is at the heart of what we believe at bstrat, to make a better tomorrow, one step at a time. For when businesses succeed, communities thrive.
